Ultimate Scalping Indicator
Nov 5, 2025

The Ultimate Scalping Indicator tool identifies high-probability reversal points by combining trend, mean reversion, and momentum filters into a single execution system.
Usage
The Ultimate Scalping Indicator is designed primarily for short-term scalping on timeframes of 5 minutes or lower. It is particularly effective on high-liquidity assets such as equity futures (NQ!, ES!, GC!).
The indicator plots visual signals on the chart based on the following logic:
- Bullish Signal (Green Arrow): Appears when price is trending above the 5-minute 200 MA and Session VWAP, while the RSI indicates a fresh pullback from strength into an oversold condition.
- Bearish Signal (Red Arrow): Appears when price is trending below the 5-minute 200 MA and Session VWAP, while the RSI indicates a fresh rally from weakness into an overbought condition.
Users should look for these signals as entry points that align with the broader macro trend. The tool performs best when used in conjunction with price action context such as support/resistance zones or institutional liquidity levels.
Details
The script utilizes a confluence of three core technical pillars:
- Trend Direction: It uses a 200-period Simple Moving Average fetched from the 5-minute timeframe. This ensures that regardless of the chart you are viewing, the macro trend filter remains consistent.
- Mean Reversion: The Session VWAP (Volume-Weighted Average Price) acts as a dynamic level of balance. Signals are only generated when price is on the "correct" side of value relative to the trend.
- Momentum Filter: A standard 14-period RSI is used to identify overbought/oversold states. However, it includes a unique "recency filter" logic. This logic requires the RSI to have crossed the 50 midline within a specific lookback period (default 10 bars) before hitting the OB/OS level. This ensures the indicator captures sharp, fresh pullbacks rather than staying in prolonged, exhausted trends.
Settings
General Settings
- Moving Average Length: Sets the period for the trend-filtering moving average (default is 200).
- RSI Length: Sets the period for the Relative Strength Index calculation.
- RSI Overbought Level: The threshold above which price is considered overbought (default 70).
- RSI Oversold Level: The threshold below which price is considered oversold (default 30).
- Max Bars Since RSI Crossed Midline: Controls the recency filter. It defines how many bars ago the RSI must have been on the opposite side of the 50 level to validate a signal.
- Show 200 MA (5m): Toggles the visibility of the 5-minute Moving Average on the chart.
- Show Session VWAP: Toggles the visibility of the Session VWAP line.
