The 1 min forex scalping indicator is a trend-following momentum strategy designed to identify short-term entry opportunities by tracking the interaction between three distinct moving averages.

Usage

The strategy identifies potential trade entries based on the relationship between a fast EMA (12), a medium EMA (26), and a slow SMA (55).

  • Long Entry: Occurs when the 12-period EMA crosses the 55-period SMA while the 12-period EMA is positioned above the 26-period EMA.
  • Short Entry: Occurs when the 12-period EMA crosses the 55-period SMA while the 12-period EMA is positioned below the 26-period EMA.

Users can manage these trades using the built-in risk management parameters, allowing for fixed Take Profit, Stop Loss, or a Trailing Stop based on ticks or points.

Details

The script utilizes a combination of Exponential Moving Averages (EMA) and Simple Moving Averages (SMA) to filter noise. The 12 and 26 EMAs are standard momentum periods (often used in MACD calculations), while the 55 SMA acts as a baseline for the broader trend. By requiring a cross of the 55 SMA accompanied by specific positioning of the faster averages, the script attempts to capture momentum shifts at the start of a new localized trend.

Settings

  • Take Profit (Ticks/Points): Sets a fixed profit target in ticks/points. Setting this to 0 disables the feature.
  • Stop Loss (Ticks/Points): Sets a fixed loss limit in ticks/points. Setting this to 0 disables the feature.
  • Trailing Stop (Ticks/Points): Sets a dynamic trailing stop that follows the price once it moves in a favorable direction.
