TD/VixFix/VolatilityStop/Momentum/WeisWave Indicators
May 17, 2018

The TD/VixFix/VolatilityStop/Momentum/WeisWave Indicators tool combines five popular technical analysis methodologies into a single overlay to provide a comprehensive view of trend exhaustion, volatility-based reversals, and momentum shifts. By integrating TD Sequential counts, Williams Vix Fix, Volatility Stops, Momentum signals, and Weis Wave volume logic, it allows traders to identify potential entry and exit points across different market regimes.
Usage
The script can be used to confirm trend direction or anticipate reversals by observing the confluence of its various components:
- TD Sequential: Use the numerical counts (1-9) to identify trend exhaustion. A "9" count typically indicates a potential price flip or reversal point.
- Williams Vix Fix: Large green or lime triangles labeled "Vix" appear when volatility reaches an extreme relative to recent price action, often signaling "synthetic bottoms" in the market.
- Volatility Stop: This provides a trailing stop-loss line. When the price crosses the crosses (green for uptrend, red for downtrend), it indicates a change in the prevailing volatility-adjusted trend.
- Momentum: "MBuy" and "MSell" labels appear based on EMA crossovers combined with ADX and Stochastics, useful for identifying trend-following entries.
- Weis Wave: While primarily used for volume analysis, this implementation helps detect shifts in price movement aggression through trend detection logic.
Details
The script synthesizes several classic trading concepts:
- TD Sequential: Implements the basic price flip and count logic based on comparing the current close to the close four bars ago.
- Williams Vix Fix: Acts as a "Fear Index" for individual assets, calculating the percentage distance of the current low from the highest high of the lookback period.
- Volatility Stop: Utilizes Average True Range (ATR) to create a dynamic trailing stop that adjusts based on market volatility.
- Momentum Logic: Uses a combination of EMA, DMI (ADX), RSI, and Stochastic oscillators to filter for high-probability momentum bursts.

FAQ
How do I interpret the different colored bars?
The script colors bars based on TD Sequential states (e.g., orange for sell setups, yellow for buy setups) and Vix Fix filtered entries (fuchsia or orange). You can disable these in the settings if you prefer standard candle colors.
Can I use this for scalping or long-term trading?
Yes, the indicator is versatile. The TD counts and Vix Fix are often used by contrarian traders to find reversals, while the Volatility Stop and Momentum signals are better suited for trend following.
How can I access this indicator?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
