The ICT-SMC Pro indicator is a comprehensive technical analysis tool that integrates core Inner Circle Trader (ICT) and Smart Money Concepts (SMC) into a single interface to help traders identify institutional market structure and high-probability liquidity zones. It automatically detects and visualizes trend shifts, imbalances, and supply/demand areas to provide a professional-grade framework for price action analysis.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on identifying institutional footprints and market transitions using the following features:

  • Market Structure Tracking: Use the automatic HH/HL/LH/LL labels to determine the current trend direction. This helps in staying on the right side of the market by identifying whether the structure is bullish or bearish.
  • Trend Transitions: Monitor BOS (Break of Structure) for trend continuation signals and CHoCH (Change of Character) for early warnings of potential trend reversals.
  • Supply & Demand Zones: The indicator plots Order Blocks (OB) which represent areas where institutional buying or selling occurred. These zones often act as significant support or resistance when price returns to them.
  • Price Imbalances: Identify Fair Value Gaps (FVG) as price magnets or areas of inefficiency. If an FVG is mitigated and price trades through it, the indicator can highlight it as an Inverse FVG (iFVG), signifying a shift in the zone's polarity.
  • Liquidity Hunting: Visualize BSL (Buyside Liquidity) and SSL (Sellside Liquidity) pools. These levels represent stop-loss clusters where "stop hunts" typically occur before a reversal.

Details

The script utilizes a sophisticated pivot-based engine to determine swing points. The "Swing Strength" setting governs the lookback period required to confirm a high or low, which in turn dictates the sensitivity of all structure-based calculations (BOS, CHoCH, and OBs).

Order Blocks are identified based on specific candle configurations preceding a displacement in price. The indicator also tracks the mitigation of these zones, meaning once price significantly enters an OB or fills an FVG, the zone can be visually retired or transformed based on the user's settings.

FAQ

How do I use the ICT-SMC Pro for entries?

While the tool identifies zones, most traders look for a "Liquidity Sweep" followed by a "CHoCH" on a lower timeframe near a higher-timeframe "Order Block" to find high-probability entries.

Why are some Order Blocks disappearing?

The indicator is designed to clean up "mitigated" zones. Once the price has sufficiently tested an Order Block or filled a Fair Value Gap, the box is removed to keep your chart clean, depending on your "Grace Period" settings.
