Multi Market Structure Trend
Nov 10, 2025

The Multi Market Structure Trend indicator provides a multi-layered market structure analysis by tracking five independent pivot-based structures to detect trend shifts across varying time horizons.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify structural alignment and momentum. Traders can use the indicator to:
- Identify Trend Reversals: Monitor the color-coded candles and the dynamic gauge to see when multiple layers of market structure align in a new direction.
- Filter Market Noise: By requiring a minimum number of structures (e.g., 3 out of 5) to align before considering a trend change valid, users can filter out short-term fluctuations.
- Track Breakouts: The indicator plots horizontal lines at key pivot levels (labeled 1-5). A break above a recent swing high signals a bullish Market Structure Break (MSB), while a break below a recent swing low signals a bearish MSB.
- Visual Sentiment Analysis: Use the real-time trend gauge on the right of the chart to instantly see the net bias from -5 (fully bearish) to +5 (fully bullish).
Details
The script executes five parallel structure tracking algorithms based on pivot high and pivot low lookbacks. Each layer contributes to a cumulative "trend score."
- Pivot Logic: Each structure identifies peaks and valleys based on its specific length. A structural shift is confirmed when the price crosses over a pivot high or under a pivot low.
- Scoring System: Every active structure provides a +1 score for bullishness or -1 for bearishness.
- Gradient Coloring: The visual output (candles and gauge) uses a gradient transition from bright green (strong bullish) through orange (neutral) to red (strong bearish). This allows for a more nuanced view of momentum than a binary up/down indicator.
Settings
Trend Color Scheme
- Up: Sets the color for bullish structural alignment.
- Neutral: Sets the color for mixed or neutral structural states.
- Down: Sets the color for bearish structural alignment.
Market Structure Layers
- Market Structure 1-5: Toggle each specific layer on or off.
- Length (Integer Input): Sets the pivot lookback period for each respective layer. Shorter lengths react to minor structural shifts, while longer lengths track major trend pivots.
FAQ
How do I interpret the numeric score on the gauge?
The numeric score represents the net sum of the five market structure layers. For example, a "+3" means three structures are currently bullish while the others are either bearish or disabled.
What do the numbers next to the horizontal lines mean?
The numbers (1 through 5) indicate which specific market structure layer triggered the breakout. This helps you identify if a short-term (e.g., Layer 1) or long-term (e.g., Layer 5) structure is being broken.
