Tradingview - Screener Ratings
Jun 13, 2018

The Tradingview - Screener Ratings indicator provides a visual representation of the technical analysis ratings used in the standard TradingView Screener, offering a consolidated view of market sentiment based on multiple technical indicators.
Usage
The Usage section allows traders to monitor the aggregate rating of a security without opening the screener panel. The indicator outputs three primary lines:
- Moving Averages Rating: An aggregate score based on various EMAs, SMAs, VWMA, and Hull Moving Averages.
- Oscillators Rating: An aggregate score derived from RSI, Stochastic, CCI, ADX, Momentum, MACD, and more.
- Rating (Total): The final average of both the Moving Averages and Oscillators ratings.
The output is mapped to a scale between -1 and 1:
- Strong Buy: 0.5 to 1.0
- Buy: 0.1 to 0.5
- Neutral: -0.1 to 0.1
- Sell: -0.1 to -0.5
- Strong Sell: -0.5 to -1.0
Details
The script calculates ratings by evaluating individual indicator conditions. For moving averages, it compares the current price to the average (Bullish if price is above, Bearish if below). For oscillators, it looks for specific conditions such as crossovers, overbought/oversold reversals (e.g., RSI or Stochastics), or momentum shifts (e.g., MACD or Awesome Oscillator).
The calculation uses request.security to fetch data based on the user-defined "Resolution" setting, allowing you to track higher timeframe ratings on lower timeframe charts.
