Supertrend Grid 1.2
Feb 11, 2018

The Supertrend Grid 1.2 indicator provides a multi-timeframe visualization of the popular Supertrend trend-following metric, allowing traders to monitor trend direction across four different timeframes simultaneously from a single pane.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify trend alignment and potential entry or exit points based on multiple timeframes. By default, the indicator displays the Supertrend state for Daily, 4-hour, 1-hour, and 15-minute timeframes, though these are fully customizable.
Traders can use this tool to:
- Identify Trend Alignment: Look for "confluence" where multiple timeframes show the same color (Green for Bullish, Red for Bearish).
- Avoid Counter-Trend Trading: Ensure the lower timeframe execution matches the higher timeframe trend direction.
- Scanning Watchlists: Quickly cycle through different symbols to see which assets are trending in the same direction across all monitored periods.
Details
The indicator utilizes the request.security() function to fetch data from different timeframes. For each timeframe, it calculates a standard Supertrend using the specified Factor and ATR Period. The output is displayed as a vertical grid of histograms, where each row represents a specific timeframe. The logic includes built-in alert conditions that trigger when a timeframe flips direction or when all four timeframes align in a single direction.
Settings
- Factor: Multiplier used to determine the distance of the Supertrend line from price based on ATR.
- ATR Period: The lookback period used for the Average True Range calculation.
- Timeframe #1 (Top): The highest timeframe displayed in the grid (Default: 1D).
- Timeframe #2: The second timeframe displayed (Default: 240m).
- Timeframe #3: The third timeframe displayed (Default: 60m).
- Timeframe #4 (Bottom): The lowest timeframe displayed in the grid (Default: 15m).
