PowerZones Support And Resistance
Apr 29, 2025

The PowerZones Support And Resistance indicator is a technical analysis tool that automatically identifies significant supply and demand zones by combining volume data with higher-timeframe pivot points. It filters out market noise to highlight the most meaningful levels where price is likely to react, providing traders with a clearer view of long-term market structure.
Usage
The tool can be utilized across various trading styles to enhance decision-making through the following applications:
- Entry and Exit Points: Identify high-probability reversal or breakout zones based on historical high-volume pivots.
- Stop-Loss Placement: Use the lower boundaries of support zones or upper boundaries of resistance zones to set technically grounded stop-losses.
- Take-Profit Targets: Project potential profit targets at upcoming resistance zones (for longs) or support zones (for shorts).
- Market Structure Analysis: By using higher timeframes (like Weekly or Monthly) on lower-timeframe charts (like Daily or Hourly), you can maintain perspective on macro trends while trading micro movements.
Details
PowerZones functions by identifying pivot highs and lows on a user-selected timeframe (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly). Unlike standard pivot indicators, it applies a volume-based filter. It calculates relative volume and compares it against a dynamic threshold that adjusts to market volatility. Only pivots that occur with significant volume or relative strength are converted into zones.
The script also includes a consolidation logic that prevents the overcrowding of the chart. If a new pivot level is too close to an existing one (based on ATR distance), the levels are filtered to ensure only the most significant price points are visualized. The width of each zone is also ATR-based, meaning the zones automatically expand or contract based on current market volatility.
