Hull MA Scanner / Screener Label
Sep 14, 2020

The Hull MA Scanner / Screener Label tool provides a multi-asset monitoring system designed to track Hull Moving Average (HMA) trend reversals across 10 different securities simultaneously. By integrating a visual screener label with on-chart signals, it allows traders to identify trend shifts and potential entry points across a customized watchlist without switching charts.
Usage
The tool is designed for trend-following and reversal trading. It plots a color-coded Hull Moving Average directly on the chart, where green indicates an uptrend and red indicates a downtrend.
- On-Chart Signals: Triangle shapes appear when the HMA changes direction (Bullish reversal/Buy or Bearish reversal/Sell).
- Screener Label: A dashboard appears on the right side of the chart, categorizing the 10 selected tickers into four states:
- Trend Reversal: Tickers that just confirmed a change in direction on the last closed bar.
- Potential Reversal: Tickers showing a directional change on the current real-time bar.
- Uptrend: Tickers currently in a bullish HMA state.
- Downtrend: Tickers currently in a bearish HMA state.
Details
The script utilizes the Hull Moving Average logic (originally based on concepts by RafaelZioni) which aims to reduce lag while maintaining smoothness. The screener functionality uses request.security to fetch data from different symbols, allowing the calculation of HMA states for multiple tickers within a single indicator instance. The logic determines a reversal based on whether the current HMA value is greater or less than its previous value.
Settings
- Period: Sets the lookback length for the Hull Moving Average calculation.
- Ticker 1-10: Allows the user to input specific symbols (e.g., "BINANCE:BTCUSDT") to be monitored by the screener.
- Show Screener Label: Toggles the visibility of the dashboard on the chart.
- Pos. Label x-axis / y-axis: Adjusts the horizontal and vertical positioning of the screener label relative to the price action.
- Label Color: Changes the text color of the screener label to ensure visibility against different chart backgrounds.
