Enhanced Strategy (Buy/Sell Signals)
May 27, 2023

The Enhanced Strategy (Buy/Sell Signals) indicator provides a comprehensive multi-factor approach to identifying market entry and exit points by combining trend, momentum, and mean-reversion metrics into unified visual labels.
Usage
The Enhanced Strategy is primarily used to identify high-probability trend reversals and continuations. Users can interpret the green "Buy" and red "Sell" labels as points where five distinct technical conditions align.
For example, a Buy Signal occurs when the price exhibits a bullish Moving Average crossover while maintaining positive momentum as defined by the RSI, MACD, Stochastic Momentum, and Awesome Oscillator. Conversely, a Sell Signal triggers when a bearish crossover aligns with negative momentum across those same oscillators.
Details
The script integrates five core technical analysis concepts to filter signals:
- Trend Filtering: Uses a Fast and Slow Moving Average (SMA) crossover to determine the primary trend direction.
- Relative Strength Index (RSI): Evaluates if the asset is potentially oversold or overbought based on a customizable threshold.
- MACD: Analyzes the relationship between two moving averages of an asset's price to confirm trend strength.
- Stochastic Momentum Index (Stch Mtm): Identifies the location of the close relative to the high-low range to gauge momentum.
- Awesome Oscillator: A momentum indicator used to determine if bullish or bearish forces are currently driving the market.
Settings
- Fast Length: Sets the period for the faster Moving Average.
- Slow Length: Sets the period for the slower Moving Average.
- RSI Length: Determines the lookback period for the Relative Strength Index.
- RSI Threshold: The level used to define the momentum floor for buys or ceiling for sells.
- MACD Short Length: The short-term EMA period for MACD calculation.
- MACD Long Length: The long-term EMA period for MACD calculation.
- MACD Signal Smoothing: The smoothing period for the MACD signal line.
- Stch Mtm Length: The period used for the Stochastic Momentum calculation.
