The Two Supertrend Crossover Signal indicator is a trend-following tool that utilizes the interaction between two Supertrend lines to identify momentum shifts and provide clear entry/exit signals.

Usage

The indicator displays two distinct Supertrend lines on the chart: a Fast Supertrend and a Slow Supertrend. Traders can use these lines to determine the prevailing market direction and potential reversal points.

  • Buy Signal: Generated when the Fast Supertrend crosses above the Slow Supertrend. This is visually represented by a green "BUY" label below the price bar, suggesting bullish momentum is strengthening.
  • Sell Signal: Generated when the Fast Supertrend crosses below the Slow Supertrend. This is visually represented by a red "SELL" label above the price bar, suggesting bearish momentum is increasing.
  • Trend Visualization: The area between the two Supertrend lines is shaded based on the current signal. A green fill indicates a bullish crossover state, while a red fill indicates a bearish crossunder state.

Details

This script implements two standard Supertrend calculations using different Average True Range (ATR) lengths and multipliers. The "Fast" line typically reacts more quickly to price movements due to a lower factor and shorter period, while the "Slow" line acts as a filter for broader trend direction. Unlike standard Supertrend usage which looks at price vs. line interaction, this tool focuses on the relationship between the two lines themselves (the crossover) to filter out market noise and capture sustained movements.

Settings

Fast Supertrend

  • Fast Supertrend Factor: The multiplier used to calculate the distance of the fast line from price.
  • Fast ATR Length: The lookback period for the ATR calculation used in the fast line.

Slow Supertrend

  • Slow Supertrend Factor: The multiplier used to calculate the distance of the slow line from price.
  • Slow ATR Length: The lookback period for the ATR calculation used in the slow line.
