Scanner/Screener of Over 40 Coins Per Script
Nov 19, 2021

The Scanner/Screener of Over 40 Coins Per Script indicator is a specialized utility designed to monitor the Rate of Change (ROC) for a large list of assets simultaneously, bypassing standard platform limitations. By utilizing a modular "set" system, this tool allows traders to track and alert on over 70 different coins within a single script environment.
Usage
The tool is designed to monitor volatility and momentum across a broad market spectrum. It calculates the Rate of Change for each selected asset and plots them as individual oscillators.
To use the script effectively for more than 40 coins:
- Multiple Instances: Add the script to your chart multiple times (e.g., three times for the full Kucoin Margin list).
- Set Selection: In each instance's settings, select a different "Set" (Set 1, Set 2, or Set 3).
- Visual Integration: To save space, move the indicators into the same pane and merge their scales.
- Alerts: You only need to set one alert per script instance. The script will dynamically trigger and label the specific coin that has crossed the defined ROC threshold.
Details
This script overcomes TradingView's 40-security-call limit by organizing ticker requests into togglable groups. It uses request.security to pull data for coins listed on the Kucoin exchange (USDT pairs). The core logic measures the percentage change over a user-defined lookback period.
The indicator also features a "Rising/Falling" filter for alerts. An alert isn't just triggered by crossing a threshold; it also requires the ROC to be moving back toward the mean or continuing its momentum (depending on settings), which helps filter out premature signals during parabolic moves.
Settings
- Kucoin Margin set: Choose which group of coins the current instance of the script should process (1, 2, or 3).
- ROC Length: Determines the number of bars used to calculate the Rate of Change (rolling percentage change).
- ALERTS Thresholds: The percentage level (e.g., 10%) that the ROC must cross to trigger a bullish or bearish notification.
- Rising()/Falling() Length: The number of consecutive bars the ROC must be rising (for bullish) or falling (for bearish) while beyond the threshold to validate an alert.
FAQ
How do I access Scanner/Screener of Over 40 Coins Per Script?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
Why are there only 24 plots visible if it screens 72 coins?
Each "Set" processes a different batch of coins. To see all 72, you must apply the script three times and set each to a different group in the inputs.
Can I change the exchange or base pair?
In the current version, the symbols are hardcoded for Kucoin USDT pairs. Users familiar with Pine Script can modify the tId construction in the f_roc function to support different exchanges or pairs.
