Improved Delta Volume Bubble
Dec 24, 2025

The Improved Delta Volume Bubble indicator provides a statistical approach to volume analysis by identifying significant liquidity events and market intent through Z-Score normalization and delta tracking.
Usage
The indicator can be used to identify high-conviction entry and exit points by analyzing the relationship between price action and volume delta. Users can monitor the chart for specific bubble types:
- Momentum (Green/Red): Highlights aggressive market participants pushing price in their direction.
- Absorption (Blue/Orange): Detects "iceberg" orders or trapped traders where price moves against a significant volume delta, often signaling potential reversals.
- Support/Resistance Rails: Major volume events project "Ghost Lines" which act as memory levels where institutions are likely to defend their positions.
Details
This tool utilizes Z-Score normalization to move beyond raw volume, instead focusing on statistical anomalies (Standard Deviations). By comparing current volume against a rolling historical window, it filters out market noise. The indicator features "Magnetic Anchoring" to ensure visual stability on lower timeframes, locking labels to candle wicks to prevent drifting. Furthermore, a hybrid fallback engine ensures that even without granular intrabar data, the tool maintains functionality via an estimation model.
Settings
Data Feeds
- Volume Source: Choose between analyzing Buy/Sell pressure (Volume Delta) or classic liquidity spikes (Total Volume).
- Intrabar Precision: Sets the lower timeframe used for calculating volume delta within a single bar.
- Statistical Lookback: The number of bars used to calculate the Mean and Standard Deviation for Z-Score analysis.
Institutional Filters
- Min Volume Z-Score (σ): Sets the statistical threshold for volume events; a value of 2.0 captures the top 5% of anomalies.
- Min Price Z-Score (σ): Ensures price movement is also significant, filtering out high-volume chop or dojis.
- Highlight CVD Divergences: Enables the detection of price and delta movement in opposite directions (Absorption).
Visuals & Dashboard
- Show Bullish/Bearish Events: Toggles visibility for specific trade directions.
- Dynamic Bubble Size: Scales the size of the bubbles based on the intensity of the Z-Score.
- Show Liquidity Memory (Ghost Lines): Projects horizontal levels from significant institutional events.
- Show Info Dashboard: Displays a matrix explaining the current logic and a log of recent signals.
FAQ
How do I access Improved Delta Volume Bubble?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
What is the difference between Momentum and Absorption bubbles?
Momentum bubbles occur when price and delta move together, showing aggression. Absorption bubbles occur when price and delta diverge, suggesting a reversal.
Why do some bubbles change size?
If Dynamic Bubble Size is enabled, larger bubbles represent rarer statistical events (higher Z-Score), indicating stronger institutional participation.
