The Simple Watchlist with % Change Screener & Alerts indicator allows traders to monitor price performance and RSI across up to 35 custom symbols directly on their chart. This tool provides a real-time heatmap display based on daily percentage changes, helping users quickly identify market strength and weakness across multiple assets.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on the multi-asset monitoring capabilities of the tool. Users can input a specific list of tickers to track, which are then displayed in an organized table.

  • Heatmap Visualization: The table cells change color based on the percentage change of the asset, moving from red (downside) to green (upside).
  • Performance Metrics: Each cell displays the ticker name, current closing price, percentage change for the selected timeframe, and the 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI).
  • Threshold Alerts: By setting a percentage threshold, users can trigger alerts when any asset in the watchlist exceeds a specific upward or downward move. These alerts also include the day's high and low prices for the triggered symbol.

Details

The script utilizes request.security to fetch data across different symbols and timeframes. It is designed to be lightweight, using an array-based structure to handle data processing and table population. The indicator includes a filter that only displays symbols with a closing price above a certain threshold (defaulted to 100 in the refactored version) to focus on specific equity classes, though this logic can be adjusted within the script code.

Settings

Main Settings

  • Timeframe: Sets the period used to calculate the percentage change and RSI (default is Daily).
  • Percentage for Alerts: Defines the threshold (e.g., 2%) that triggers a notification if an asset moves beyond this limit.
  • Column multiplier: Adjusts the visual layout of the table by determining how many rows are displayed per column.

Symbols

  • Symbol 1 - 35: Customizable input fields where users can type or select the tickers they wish to monitor in the watchlist.
