The Daily Scalping Moving Averages indicator provides a comprehensive trend-following dashboard by aggregating seven technical signals and volatility-based boundaries to identify high-probability intraday scalping opportunities.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used to navigate intraday trends. The indicator utilizes a confluence of Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), Simple Moving Averages (SMA), and Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP) to determine market direction.

  • Trend Confirmation: The indicator tracks seven unique components (EMA 10/20/50, SMA 10/20/50, and Daily VWAP). A confluence of at least five indicators moving in the same direction suggests a strong trend suitable for scalping.
  • Volatility Boundaries: The script calculates daily top and bottom levels based on ATR. These levels act as expected high and low price targets for the session.
  • Trade Management: Users can identify optimal entry and exit points by observing the rating (out of 7). A +7 rating indicates a maximum strength long trend, while -7 indicates a maximum strength short trend.
  • Risk/Reward Optimization: When price approaches the Daily TOP or Daily BOT levels, the risk/reward ratio shifts. For instance, if the price hits the Daily TOP level and indicators begin to flip toward a short bias, the top level can serve as a logical stop-loss point for a reversal trade.

Details

The script combines multiple short-to-medium-term moving averages to provide a "weighted" view of the current trend. By utilizing both EMA (which reacts faster to price changes) and SMA (which provides smoother trend confirmation), the script filters out minor price noise.

The Daily TOP and BOT levels are calculated using the previous day's close and the current Daily ATR value. These levels represent statistical boundaries where price is expected to stay within approximately 80% of the time, making them effective for identifying overextended market conditions.

FAQ

How do I interpret the table results? The table displays "Long" or "Short" for each of the seven components based on the price's position relative to the moving averages and VWAP. A unanimous green or red table indicates a high-conviction trend.

What do the blue lines on the chart represent? The blue lines represent the Daily TOP and Daily BOT levels. These are calculated based on daily ATR to show the expected price range for the current trading session.
