Bot Signaler on Basis of RSI Stoch StochRSI
Dec 20, 2018

The Bot Signaler on Basis of RSI Stoch StochRSI indicator is a comprehensive technical analysis tool that aggregates signals from three momentum oscillators to provide filtered trade entries for manual trading or automated bot execution.
Usage
This tool can be used for manual visual analysis or as a signal generator for automated platforms like 3Commas or Autoview. Users can identify potential long and short opportunities when the aggregated momentum of RSI, Stochastic, and Stochastic RSI align.
Individual signals for each indicator are displayed as circles within their respective zones, while the final "Bot Signal" is visualized as green or red columns at the bottom of the indicator pane. By adjusting the "Min Signals needed" setting, you can control the sensitivity of the final output, requiring multiple indicators to confirm a trend before a signal is generated.
Details
The indicator stacks three distinct oscillators:
- Relative Strength Index (RSI): Measures the speed and change of price movements.
- Stochastic Oscillator: Compares a specific closing price of a security to a range of its prices over a certain period.
- Stochastic RSI: Applies the Stochastic calculation to RSI values rather than price, providing a more sensitive momentum reading.
A unique feature is the "Returning RSI" logic. When enabled, signals are generated when the RSI leaves the overbought or oversold zones (returning to the median) rather than simply entering them, which can often lead to capturing more established trend reversals.
Settings
- Returning RSI?: If enabled, signals fire when RSI leaves the buy/sell zones. If disabled, signals fire as soon as zones are entered.
- Stoch-Average-Method?: Choose between Simple Moving Average (SMA) or Exponential Moving Average (EMA) for Stochastic calculations.
- Min Signals needed: The minimum number of individual indicator signals (RSI, Stoch, SRSI) required to trigger the final bot signal.
- RSI necessary?: When enabled, an RSI signal must be present for the final bot signal to fire, regardless of other indicators.
- Stoch necessary?: When enabled, a Stochastic signal must be present for the final bot signal to fire.
- StochRsi necessary?: When enabled, a Stochastic RSI signal must be present for the final bot signal to fire.
- Length/Smooth Settings: Standard period and smoothing inputs for RSI, Stochastic (K/D), and Stochastic RSI.
- Buy/Sell Levels: Customizable thresholds for overbought and oversold conditions across all three indicators.
FAQ
How do I use this for automation?
You can set up Alert Conditions within TradingView using the "Bot Long Signal" or "Bot Short Signal" triggers to send syntax to your preferred bot provider.
What is the "Returning RSI" benefit?
It aims to reduce premature entries by waiting for price momentum to actually shift back toward the mean before confirming a signal.
