Multiple Instrument Automation Screener
Jun 30, 2024

The Multiple Instrument Automation Screener indicator provides a framework for monitoring multiple assets and automating trade execution based on simple moving average crossovers. This tool is designed to scan up to ten instruments simultaneously, displaying real-time signals in an organized dashboard and generating structured JSON alerts for third-party automation.
Usage
The Usage section explains how to implement and interpret the screener:
- Screener Dashboard: The indicator displays a table on the chart showing the current price, SMA value, and the signal status (Long/Short) for each selected instrument.
- Signal Logic: A "Long" signal is triggered when the price crosses above the SMA, and a "Short" signal is triggered when the price crosses below the SMA.
- Automation: When a signal occurs, the script generates a JSON formatted alert containing the ticker, action (buy/sell), current price, and timestamp. This can be sent to external webhooks or execution platforms.
- Multi-Asset Management: Users can toggle specific symbols on or off within the settings to focus only on desired markets.
Details
The script utilizes the request.security() function to fetch data for various tickers and matrix structures to organize the results for the visual table. A key technical feature is the use of the varip variable type, which helps manage the execution flow of alerts.
Implementation Notes:
- Alert Sequentiality: The script is designed to process signals sequentially to avoid simultaneous alert overhead.
- Rate Limits: Users should be aware that TradingView has a rate limit for alerts (typically 15 alerts within 3 minutes). Exceeding this may cause service interruptions.
- Timing: Signals are processed at the bar close of the active chart instrument. Due to the complexity of fetching data for ten different symbols, there may be a minor latency of a few seconds between the signal calculation and the actual bar close.
Settings
MAs
- Fast MA Length: Sets the lookback period for the Simple Moving Average used to generate crossover signals.
Symbols
- Symbol Enable (Checkbox): Enables or disables the calculation and display for a specific instrument slot.
- Symbol Input: Allows the user to define the specific ticker (e.g., BTCUSDT, AAPL) for each of the ten available slots.
FAQ
How do I use this for my own strategy?
The script is built as a template; you can replace the SMA logic within the screenerFunc() with any custom indicator logic to screen for different types of signals.
Can I monitor more than 10 instruments? The current version is configured for ten instruments for optimal performance and simplicity, though the logic can be expanded manually in the script code to handle more symbols.
How do I access Multiple Instrument Automation Screener? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
