Vdubus Divergence Wave Pattern Generator V1
Dec 2, 2025

The Vdubus Divergence Wave Pattern Generator V1 indicator provides a visual framework for market analysis by combining price action geometry with MACD-based momentum physics. It automates the detection of multi-wave divergence structures to identify trend exhaustion, traps, and continuation signals across various asset classes.
Usage
The Usage section describes how the script can be used to identify specific market conditions. The indicator identifies four primary signal types based on the relationship between price peaks and momentum exhaustion.
Standard Reversal (Exhaustion)
This signal identifies the "slow death" of a trend. It looks for a 3-wave structure where Price Wave 2 to 3 pushes to a final extreme, but momentum is flat or lower than Wave 2. This suggests that the trend participants have expended their energy, marking a "safe" entry for a reversal.
Climax Reversal (The Trap)
Used to catch aggressive V-shape reversals, this setup identifies "Strong to Weak" shifts. It triggers when price accelerates with strong momentum (drawing in retail traders) only to have the subsequent price push occur on collapsing momentum. These are highlighted as "CLIMAX REVERSAL" on the chart.
The Predator (Trend Continuation)
This feature focuses on hidden divergence during pullbacks. It signals a trend resumption when price makes a Higher Low (bullish) or Lower High (bearish), while momentum makes an oversold/overbought extreme. It is designed to filter out market noise and identify high-probability continuation entries.
Rounded Tops and Bottoms
For markets that do not have sharp pivot points, the indicator scans for four consecutive waves of momentum decay. If momentum consistently decreases over four peaks while price rounds over, a "Multi-Wave Decay" label is applied.
Details
The script operates on the "Geometry + Physics" philosophy. Geometry refers to the structural ZigZag patterns (X-A-B-C-D) which define the location of potential reversals, such as Gartley, Bat, or Head & Shoulders patterns. Physics refers to the MACD momentum which dictates the timing of the entry.
The system requires a "3-Wave Momentum Filter" rather than a standard 2-point divergence. This confirms the true state of the market energy. Additionally, the tool includes a "Clean Path" principle, often visualized via the Confluence Dashboard, which ensures trades are not taken against dominant opposing forces.
Settings
Fast & Slow Structure
- Fast/Slow Pattern Scale (ZigZag): Adjusts the sensitivity of the price pivot detection. Lower values detect smaller fluctuations; higher values focus on macro trends.
- Show Lines/Fills/Labels: Toggles the visibility of the geometric shapes and their respective text identifiers.
Momentum Physics
- Fast/Slow/Signal Length: Standard MACD parameters used to calculate the "physics" engine.
- Momentum Pivot Lookback: Sets how many bars the script looks back to confirm a momentum peak or trough.
Pattern Filters & Harmonics
- Show Standard/Climax/Rounded/Predator: Enables or disables specific signal logic types.
- Harmonic Selectors (Gartley, Bat, etc.): Allows the user to filter for specific geometric price patterns.
- Harmonic Tolerance: Defines the percentage of error allowed when calculating Fibonacci ratios for pattern identification.
Confluence Dashboard
- Show Dashboard: Toggles a UI element that displays the current balance of power between bulls and bears.
- Position/Size: Adjusts the location and scale of the dashboard on the chart.
FAQ
How do I interpret the different colors on the patterns? The colors represent the signal logic: Green/Red usually indicate Standard Reversals, Orange/Blue indicates Climax Traps, and Purple is reserved for the "Predator" trend continuation signals.
Can I use this for scalping or swing trading? Yes, by adjusting the "Fast Structure" and "Slow Structure" ZigZag depths, you can tune the indicator to detect micro-movements for scalping or macro-shifts for swing trading.
How do I get access to the Vdubus Divergence Wave Pattern Generator V1? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
