FVG Price & Volume Graph

The FVG Price & Volume Graph ranks imbalances by what actually traded inside them. Recent FVGs are arranged on a graph beside price action according to their location and the volume recorded during formation, so gaps backed by heavy participation stand out from the ones the market barely noticed.

How to Trade the FVG Price & Volume Graph?

  • Gap position on the graph: higher-volume gaps sit further to the right, making liquidity-rich zones visible at a glance.
  • Highest-volume average levels: averages taken from the heaviest gap areas extend across the chart as candidate support and resistance.
  • Regression line: a linear regression relates gap placement to volume and sketches where future gaps might land, a trend-like estimate to treat with caution, since gaps rarely behave linearly.
  • Mitigated vs. unmitigated: enable "Consider Mitigation" to keep only unfilled gaps, or disable it to study where historical imbalances clustered.

Volume inside each gap is measured from the lower timeframe candles that make up the middle formation candle; a lower intrabar timeframe sharpens the estimate at the cost of computation and data availability. Gap areas can be gradient-colored by size or by volume, and the graph slots naturally among LuxAlgo's volume and order flow tools.

FVG Price & Volume Graph Settings

  • Display Amount: how many recent gaps appear on the graph.
  • Highest Volume Averages: the number of top-volume average levels shown and extended.
  • Consider Mitigation: filters the graph down to unmitigated gaps only.
  • Filter FVGs Outside Visible Range: restricts the graph to gaps within the visible chart.
  • Intrabar Data TF: the lower timeframe used for the volume measurement. It should sit below the chart timeframe.
  • Graph Resolution: the precision of gap placement along the graph's horizontal axis.
