The BOTMAN indicator provides a multi-modular trading toolkit designed to visualize key horizontal support and resistance levels, Fibonacci retracements, and daily session markers on a unified interface.

Usage

The Usage section describes how the script can be used; it serves as a comprehensive levels-based strategy tool. Users can monitor price action relative to hardcoded or custom levels, Fibonacci zones, and historical daily extremes.

  • BOTMAN Levels: The indicator highlights specific price levels categorized by strength (Weak, Medium, Strong, Very Strong). These levels are visually distinct, with thicker lines representing stronger zones. Traders use these as potential reversal or breakout points.
  • Fibonacci Module: By enabling the Fib Module, the script automatically calculates high, low, and 50% retracement levels based on a user-defined lookback period (e.g., the last 3 days). This helps identify the "equilibrium" of recent price action.
  • Daily High/Low: This feature plots the highs and lows of previous sessions, allowing traders to observe how current price action interacts with yesterday's extremes.
  • Session Markers: The tool can plot vertical markers at specific times (UTC adjusted), which is useful for identifying volatility shifts at market opens or specific session intervals.

Details

The script is constructed using several distinct modules that operate independently but can be toggled to create a clean or detailed workspace.

  • Logic Construction: The core of the BOTMAN levels uses string-based inputs to parse multiple price strikes. This allows the indicator to draw numerous horizontal lines without requiring a separate input for every single price point.
  • Dynamic Labeling: Labels are dynamically positioned using a right-margin offset logic. This ensures that even as new bars form, the price labels remain at the far right of the screen or at a specific bar offset to prevent chart clutter.
  • Alert System: The script includes logic for combined alerts. For example, users can set alerts for when price crosses a "Very Strong" level or the 50% Fibonacci retracement. An "AND" logic toggle is available for traders who only want to be notified when multiple conditions are met simultaneously.

FAQ

How do I add the BOTMAN indicator to my chart? Search for "BOTMAN" in your platform's indicator search bar and select the version by the authorized creator. You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.

Can I use this on assets other than SPX500? Yes, while the default levels are optimized for SPX500, you can manually input custom levels for any ticker (Forex, Crypto, or Stocks) in the "BOTMAN Levels" settings group.

Why are the labels not showing up on my chart? Ensure "Show Labels" is checked in the Layout settings. If using the "Labels At Screen Right" option, make sure you have enough right-side chart padding enabled in your platform settings to see the projected labels.
