The ICT Killzone [Forex Edition] indicator tracks and visualizes key Inner Circle Trader (ICT) bank sessions to help traders identify periods of high liquidity and potential volatility.

Usage

The script is designed for intraday Forex trading, identifying four primary sessions based on New York time:

  • Asian Range (18:00 - 00:00): Often used to define the initial price consolidation and daily range boundaries.
  • London Open Killzone (02:00 - 05:00): A period known for the "Judas Swing" or the formation of the daily high/low.
  • New York Open Killzone (07:00 - 09:00): Typically associated with trend continuations or significant reversals.
  • London Close Killzone (10:00 - 12:00): Often marks the end of the daily trend or a retracement period.

Traders can choose between two visualization styles: background highlights (beacons) or bounded boxes. When using the box mode, the tool can display the total pip range of the session, providing immediate context for the session's volatility.

Details

The indicator utilizes the America/New_York timezone to ensure consistency with ICT methodology, regardless of the user's local chart settings. It is optimized for intraday timeframes (1-hour and below). The script calculates the high and low for each session dynamically when the box mode is enabled, updating the range in real-time until the session concludes. Alerts are integrated to notify users at the start and end of each specific killzone.

FAQ

How do I access the ICT Killzone [Forex Edition]?

You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.

Why doesn't the indicator show up on my Daily chart?

The script is restricted to intraday timeframes (up to 60 minutes) because killzones are based on specific hours within a single trading day.

Can I use this for assets other than Forex?

While designed for Forex (calculating ranges in pips), the time-based killzones can be applied to indices or commodities, though the "info" pip calculation may need manual interpretation based on the asset's tick value.
