The Aligned Timeframe Liquidity Sweeps indicator identifies and visualizes buyside and sellside liquidity levels based on intelligently selected higher timeframes (HTF). This tool automates the detection of key swing points where institutional liquidity often resides, making it essential for traders following ICT or Smart Money Concepts.

Usage

The indicator automatically selects a correlated higher timeframe based on your current chart interval (e.g., a 15-minute chart will look at the 4-hour HTF). It then plots horizontal lines at HTF swing highs (buyside) and swing lows (sellside).

  • Active Liquidity: Solid lines represent untouched liquidity levels, acting as potential price magnets.
  • Swept Liquidity: When price crosses a level (using wicks or bodies), the line becomes dotted and stops at the bar where the sweep occurred.
  • Directional Bias: Traders often look for a liquidity sweep followed by a reversal to identify high-probability entries or use untouched levels as price targets.

Details

The script utilizes a specific correlation logic to align timeframes:

  • 15s chart aligns with 1min HTF
  • 1min chart aligns with 15min HTF
  • 5min chart aligns with 1hour HTF
  • 15min chart aligns with 4hour HTF
  • 1hour chart aligns with Daily HTF
  • 4hour chart aligns with Weekly HTF
  • Daily chart aligns with Monthly HTF

It searches backwards through historical data (up to 1000 bars) to place the starting point of the liquidity line exactly on the lower timeframe candle that formed the higher timeframe swing. This ensures precise visualization of institutional levels.

Settings

Swing Detection

  • Swing Bars (1m to Monthly): These inputs allow you to customize the sensitivity of the pivot point detection for each specific higher timeframe. Higher values will result in only major swing points being identified, while lower values capture more granular liquidity.

Display

  • Maximum Amount of Sweeps: Limits the total number of visible liquidity levels on the chart to maintain performance and visual clarity.
  • Buyside Liquidity (Highs) Color: Sets the color for swing high liquidity levels (Default: Green).
  • Sellside Liquidity (Lows) Color: Sets the color for swing low liquidity levels (Default: Red).
  • Line Width: Adjusts the thickness of the liquidity lines.

FAQ

How do I interpret the different line styles? Solid lines indicate active, untouched liquidity levels that price may be drawn toward. Dotted lines indicate that the liquidity has already been "swept" or taken by market participants.

Can I manually change the HTF used for analysis? The tool is designed to follow ICT-aligned timeframe correlations automatically. However, you can adjust the sensitivity of the detection for each timeframe within the settings to suit your strategy.
