TA Night Bot Alerts
Jul 23, 2020

The TA Night Bot Alerts indicator is a specialized momentum and volatility-based signaling tool designed to identify potential long and short entry points in the cryptocurrency markets. It utilizes mean reversion principles and standard deviation bands to detect price exhaustion and provide actionable trade levels including entry, take-profit, and stop-loss targets.
Usage
The tool is optimized for lower timeframe analysis, specifically the 5-minute and 15-minute charts, where it can capture short-term price swings. When the price crosses outside of the calculated volatility bands, the indicator generates a signal:
- Long Entry: Occurs when price crosses above the lower volatility band (recovering from an oversold state).
- Short Entry: Occurs when price crosses below the upper volatility band (reversing from an overbought state).
Once a trade is triggered, the script automatically plots horizontal lines for the Entry (E1), Target (T1), and Stop Loss (SL). These visuals remain active until either the target or the stop loss is hit, at which point the trade is closed and the script prepares for the next signal.
Details
The script construction is based on a modified Bollinger Band framework. It uses a Simple Moving Average (SMA) of 75 periods as the basis, with an upper band derived from a 60-period standard deviation and a lower band derived from a 75-period standard deviation. Both bands are scaled by a multiplier of 4.8 and further adjusted by a small percentage offset (0.1%) of the current price to refine the breakout thresholds.
The trade management logic calculates specific price levels based on a user-defined risk input:
- Target (TP1): Fixed at 0.3% distance from the entry.
- Stop Loss (SL): Calculated as a base of 0.75% plus the variable risk input.
- Dynamic Entry: The entry price is slightly offset from the signal candle's close based on the risk setting to account for potential slippage or spread.
Settings
- RISK: Adjusts the sensitivity of the trade level calculations. Increasing this value widens the distance for the entry price and the stop loss, allowing for more breathing room during high volatility at the cost of a lower reward-to-risk ratio.
