Screener Price Percentage Change
Jul 15, 2021

The Screener Price Percentage Change indicator provides a comprehensive visual panel to track the price performance of multiple assets across various timeframes simultaneously.
Usage
The Usage section focuses on monitoring real-time and historical performance. The panel displays the current percentage change for the active chart symbol and up to three additional custom assets. By default, it tracks performance across the current chart timeframe (HTF), as well as Daily, Weekly, and Monthly intervals.
A unique feature of this tool is the "Last" column, which displays the percentage change of the previous candle for the current timeframe. For example, if you are viewing a Monthly chart, the screener will display both the current Month's performance and the finalized performance of the previous Month. This allows traders to quickly compare current momentum against prior results.
Details
The script uses request.security to fetch data from different timeframes and assets. It includes logic to prevent redundant displays; for instance, if the chart is already on a Daily or Weekly timeframe, the corresponding higher timeframe columns may be adjusted or hidden to maintain clarity. The percentage calculation follows the standard formula: ((Current Close / Previous Close) - 1) * 100.

FAQ
How can I add more than four assets to the screener?
The current version supports the main chart symbol plus three additional manual inputs. To track more assets, you can apply multiple instances of the indicator to your chart and adjust their panel positions so they do not overlap.
Why do some cells show "--"?
The cells display "--" when the requested timeframe data is not yet available or if the current chart timeframe is higher than the requested display timeframe (e.g., trying to view Daily changes while on a Monthly chart).
