ICT Market Structure and OTE Zone
Mar 19, 2023

The ICT Market Structure and OTE Zone indicator identifies daily market structure and the Optimal Trade Entry (OTE) zone based on Fibonacci retracement levels to highlight high-probability reversal areas.
Usage
The tool visualizes the previous day's trading range and the specific Fibonacci levels used in ICT methodology.
- Daily High and Low: Represented by red and green step lines, these levels define the market structure and the range from the previous trading day.
- OTE Zone: The highlighted area between the 61.8% and 78.6% Fibonacci retracement levels. Traders often look for price action to enter this zone for potential long or short entries depending on the overall trend.
- Price Interaction: When the price enters the gray OTE zone, it signals a potential area of interest for reversals. Users typically combine this with other ICT concepts like Order Blocks or Liquidity Sweeps to confirm entries.
Details
The indicator utilizes the request.security function to pull the previous day's high and low data accurately. It then calculates the OTE zone by applying user-defined Fibonacci ratios to that daily range. To ensure performance and historical visibility, the script uses step-line plots instead of drawing objects, allowing traders to see how price interacted with past daily levels across the entire chart history.
Settings
- Fibonacci Lower Level: Sets the lower boundary ratio for the OTE zone calculation (Default is 0.618).
- Fibonacci Upper Level: Sets the upper boundary ratio for the OTE zone calculation (Default is 0.786).
