The Support Resistance Dynamics indicator identifies and visualizes key support and resistance levels in real-time using an adaptive slope calculation to stay relevant across different market conditions.

Usage

The tool is designed to help traders locate potential reversal points and breakout zones by projecting dynamic levels from recent price pivots. By adjusting the slope and the number of displayed lines, users can tailor the indicator to their specific trading timeframe and strategy.

  • Trend Identification: Use the projected slopes to determine the current trend direction and strength.
  • Entry & Exit Points: Identify confluence between price action and the dynamic levels to set more precise entry orders or profit targets.
  • Risk Management: Place stop-loss orders behind significant support or resistance lines to minimize risk during volatility.
  • Breakout Trading: Monitor price crosses above resistance or below support levels, which can trigger real-time alerts.

Details

Unlike traditional static horizontal levels, this indicator uses covariance-based slope calculations to project levels forward. It detects pivots based on a user-defined lookback/lookforward period and then applies a slope derived from price action over a specific lookback window. This allows the lines to act as dynamic "rails" that account for market momentum. The inclusion of a logarithmic scale option ensures that level projections remain accurate for assets with high volatility or long-term growth trends.
