Market Structure Recovery Planner
Apr 29, 2026

The Market Structure Recovery Planner indicator is a specialized chart-first tool designed to evaluate market behavior after clean swing structures are damaged and price attempts a repair. It maps structural damage, recovery scores, and "repair-room" corridors to help traders identify high-quality structure transitions without relying on generic signals.
Usage
This tool is most effective on 4H swing-structure charts where price action has enough space to develop readable recovery patterns. Users can monitor the following visual elements to plan their next steps:
- Recovery Pocket: A zone around the damaged structure rail where price acceptance is measured.
- Risk Edge: A specific level used as an invalidation point for the active recovery plan.
- Repair Room: A visual corridor showing the available space between the recovered level and the next major structural resistance or support.
- Action Panel: A compact dashboard displaying the current recovery score (0-100), acceptance state, and a suggested next action.
For example, when a bullish higher-low rail is broken (damage) and price later closes back above it with high volume and held acceptance, the planner marks a "Recovery Ready" state, provided there is enough "Repair Room" to the next structural high.
Details
The script operates through a four-stage engine:
- Context Detection: Identifying swing highs and lows based on the user-defined swing length.
- Damage Mapping: Recording the "damaged rail" when a prior swing level is breached.
- Recovery Evaluation: Scoring the quality of the price return based on damage depth, volume participation, and how many bars hold above/below the recovered rail (acceptance).
- Visual Output: Generating zones, labels, and status panels to turn raw data into a structured planning workflow.
Settings
Structure Recovery Engine
- Structure Swing Length: Determines the sensitivity of higher-high/lower-low detection.
- ATR Length: Sets the baseline for measuring damage depth and recovery pockets.
- Sensitivity: Choices between Conservative, Balanced, and Aggressive to adjust rail strictness.
- Confirmation Mode: Toggle between waiting for a bar close or updating live.
Recovery Score Model
- Ideal Repairable Damage ATR: The preferred depth of a break; breaks too shallow may be noise, while breaks too deep are harder to "repair."
- Timely Recovery Window: How many bars the damaged rail remains relevant for a potential recovery.
- Acceptance Hold Bars: The number of bars required to hold the recovered side of the rail to confirm stability.
- Planner Ready Score: The 0-100 threshold required to trigger a "Ready" state.
Chart Visuals & Labels
- Show Recovery Pocket/Repair Room: Toggles the visibility of planning zones.
- Label Offset ATR: Adjusts the vertical distance of event labels from the price candles.
- Panel Settings: Customizes the location, theme, and font size of the AG Pro dashboard.
FAQ
How do I access the Market Structure Recovery Planner?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
What does a low recovery score mean?
A low score indicates that the structure repair is weak, occurring too late (outside the timely window), has poor volume participation, or lacks sufficient "Repair Room" to the next target.
Can this be used for automated trading?
No, this script is designed as a decision-support tool and planning engine. It does not provide automated trade execution or guaranteed signals.
