The MavilimW Screener indicator provides a multi-ticker dashboard designed to track trend changes and price interactions based on the MavilimW Moving Average across multiple symbols and timeframes.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on monitoring trend shifts and price action for up to 20 user-defined symbols. The screener panel appears on the right side of the chart, displaying the ticker name, trend direction, and the number of bars elapsed since the last signal.

  • Trend Following: By default, the screener tracks the color changes of the MavilimW line. When the ticker appears in green (with a triangle icon), it signifies an uptrend or BUY signal. When it appears in red, it signifies a downtrend or SELL signal.
  • Price Flips: By enabling the "Change Screener to show MavilimW & Price Flips" setting, the screener tracks crossovers between the price and the MavilimW line rather than just the line's internal slope.
  • Timing: The bracketed number next to each ticker (e.g., [3]) indicates how many bars have passed since the trend direction last flipped, helping traders assess the maturity of a trend.

Details

The MavilimW Moving Average is a complex weighted moving average (WMA) calculation that applies successive smoothing to capture underlying trends while minimizing lag. The formula utilizes two primary lengths to derive a series of intermediate averages (m1 through m5), resulting in the final MavW line.

This screener version utilizes request.security to fetch data for various assets including stocks, crypto, and commodities. It is designed to be highly customizable, allowing users to mix and match different timeframes for the same symbol or monitor an entire watchlist on a single chart.
