The ICT Swing Structure [STL/STH · ITL/ITH · LTL/LTH] indicator automatically identifies and categorizes market structure into three nested degrees of price swings to help traders define market bias and key liquidity levels.

Usage

The tool classifies price action into three distinct categories based on a nested hierarchy:

  • Short-Term (STH/STL): These are standard pivot points based on the "ST Pivot Length" setting. They represent the most frequent swing points on the chart.
  • Intermediate-Term (ITH/ITL): An Intermediate-Term High is formed when a Short-Term High is flanked by two lower Short-Term Highs. Conversely, an Intermediate-Term Low is formed when a Short-Term Low is flanked by two higher Short-Term Lows.
  • Long-Term (LTH/LTL): These represent the most significant structural points. A Long-Term High is confirmed when an Intermediate-Term High is flanked by two lower Intermediate-Term Highs.

Traders can use these levels to identify institutional order flow, frame entries, or locate significant pools of liquidity. Each degree features color-coded labels and horizontal reference lines that scale in length according to their structural importance.

Details

The script implements logic taught in the ICT 2022 Mentorship. By using a multi-layered approach to swing points, it filters out "market noise" and highlights the pivots that are mathematically more significant. The horizontal lines provide immediate visual references for price levels that may act as future support, resistance, or targets for liquidity runs.
