The script functions by evaluating two primary conditions:

1. Trend Strength: It utilizes an Average Directional Index (ADX) calculation to ensure there is sufficient directional pressure in the price movement.
2. Volume Volatility: It employs a customized Volume Flow Index. Unlike standard oscillators that use price change, this component calculates a ratio of positive volume changes versus negative volume changes over a lookback period to ensure the market "action" is backed by volume.

When both the ADX and the Volume Index exceed the user-defined filter threshold, an "Action Section" is triggered. This dual-filtering approach helps in avoiding "fake-out" moves that occur on low volume or lack a clear trend.

FAQ

How do I interpret an Action Section?

An Action Section indicates that the market is no longer in a choppy, sideways state and has sufficient volume and trend strength to be considered "active." It does not inherently predict direction unless the Heikin-Ashi price change setting is enabled.

Why are no signals appearing on my chart?

This indicator requires volume data to function. If you are using it on an instrument or timeframe without volume data (such as some Forex pairs or indices), the volume filter will not be able to calculate, and no Action Sections will be displayed.
