Multi-Factor Reversal Analyzer
Apr 18, 2025

The Multi-Factor Reversal Analyzer indicator is a comprehensive technical analysis toolkit designed to detect market tops and bottoms by combining trend momentum, price action behavior, wave oscillation, and volatility compression. It provides a multi-dimensional view of the market, helping traders distinguish between simple pullbacks and high-confidence trend reversals.
Usage
The indicator consists of four primary modules that can be used independently or in confluence:
- Trend Detector + Gold Zone: The Trend Detector (histogram) evaluates directional strength. When the Gold Zone (volatility compression) appears while the Trend Detector is bearish, it often precedes a downside expansion. Conversely, a Gold Zone during a bullish Trend Detector suggests an upside breakout.
- PAI + Wave Trend: The Price Action Index (PAI) identifies bullish (green) or bearish (red) dominance zones. When PAI aligns with a Wave Trend crossover, it provides a high-probability entry signal for mean-reversion or new trend phases.
- Straddle Area: This feature highlights consolidation zones. A breakout from the Straddle Area, confirmed by the Trend Score flipping, acts as a primary trigger for entering new trend phases.
- Divergence Analysis: Both PAI and Wave Trend modules include automated regular and hidden divergence detection to identify weakening momentum before price turns.
Details
The script integrates several quantitative models to triangulate market turns:
- Price Action Index (PAI): A custom oscillator that integrates price momentum with volatility dispersion (standard deviation, variance, etc.) to evaluate trend integrity.
- Gold Zone: An analytical module that measures price momentum compression using various selectable models such as RSI, Simple Harmonic, or Karobein. It signals that volatility is at an extreme low and an explosive move is imminent.
- Trend Scoring: A composite logic based on OHLC and Close price trends to provide a top-down bias.
- Wave Trend: A refined oscillator using smoothed averages to track cyclical market movements and pivot points.
Settings
- Trend Detector: Options to enable the module and adjust the OHLC and Close trend lookback lengths.
- Gold Zone: Settings for length, threshold sensitivity, and the data source for volatility compression calculation.
- Wave Trend: Controls for channel and average lengths, Laguerre smoothing for noise reduction, and comprehensive divergence detection parameters (pivot lookbacks and ranges).
- Price Action Index:
- Higher Timeframe (HTF) Mode: Options for Auto-Steps, Multiple, or Fixed TFs to overlay macro context.
- Dispersion Method: Selectable calculation modes including Standard Deviation, Variance, Efficiency Ratio, and Signal-to-Noise.
- Straddle Area: Defines the threshold for the consolidation zone.
- Visuals: Options for bar coloring, trend labels, and divergence markers.
FAQ
- How do I interpret the Gold Zone? The Gold Zone represents volatility compression, not a guaranteed bottom. It signals an impending big move; use the Trend Detector histogram to determine the likely direction of the breakout.
- What markets does this work best on? It is suitable for all liquid markets including Crypto, Stocks, Forex, and Futures across various timeframes (Scalping to Swing trading).
- How can I access the Multi-Factor Reversal Analyzer? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
