The Gold Scalping BOS & CHoCH tool identifies high-probability scalping opportunities on assets like XAU/USD by detecting market structure shifts and momentum changes.

Usage

The tool is primarily used to identify scalping entries based on the interaction between trend continuation and trend reversal signals. It is optimized for lower timeframes (such as the 3-minute chart) where price action is more frequent.

  • Long Entries: Occur when a bullish Break of Structure (BOS) is detected alongside a bullish Change of Character (CHoCH), signaling a shift from bearish momentum back into a primary bullish trend.
  • Short Entries: Occur when a bearish BOS is detected alongside a bearish CHoCH, signaling a rejection of higher prices and a shift into a downward trend.
  • Risk Management: The script automatically calculates dynamic Stop Loss (SL) levels based on recent swing points and sets a Take Profit (TP) target at a 1:2 risk-to-reward ratio.

Details

This script operates on pure price action principles, specifically focusing on market structure rather than lagging oscillators.

  • Break of Structure (BOS): This occurs when the price breaks through a previous swing high or low, confirming the current trend's intent to continue.
  • Change of Character (CHoCH): This identifies the first sign of a potential trend reversal by looking for price action that contradicts the immediate local structure.
  • Dynamic Levels: Instead of fixed pip values, the tool calculates levels using the highest highs and lowest lows over a lookback period (default 10 bars). This allows the strategy to adapt to changing market volatility automatically.

Settings

  • Default Quantity Value: Sets the percentage of equity used for each trade.
  • Lookback Periods: Internal calculations use a 5-bar window for swing identification and a 10-bar window for support/resistance levels.
