The Moving Grid Trader - Alerts indicator provides a systematic grid-based trading framework designed to capture profits within a range following a trend confirmation. It utilizes MACD momentum filtering to qualify entry signals and establishes a multi-layered exit grid to lock in gains or trigger a stop-loss during adverse price movements.

Usage

The tool is primarily intended for bullish or ranging market environments. A "BUY" signal is generated when the price closes higher than its open, provided there is no active order and the MACD histogram shows positive momentum (growing above or below the zero line).

Once a position is active, the indicator calculates a series of 50 grid levels above the entry price and a fixed stop-loss below it.

  • Take Profit: A "MONEY" label appears when the price crosses under one of the predefined grid levels after having reached it, signaling a potential trailing exit or profit-taking opportunity.
  • Stop Loss: A "Stoploss" label is triggered if the price crosses below the calculated stop-loss boundary (2% below the entry).
  • Trend Following: If the price continues to climb significantly (above the 50th grid level), the system updates the reference position to trail the rising price.

Details

The script combines momentum oscillators with a static-interval grid system. It uses two EMAs (21 and 100) to visually track the trend, while the core execution logic relies on a customizable MACD. The MACD acts as a filter to ensure trades are only initiated when momentum is shifting favorably. The grid itself is comprised of 50 levels spaced at roughly 0.02% intervals (starting from a 0.01% offset), allowing for highly granular exit detection in volatile ranging markets.
