The MTF CISD Trade System + Alerts indicator identifies high-probability trade entries by detecting Change in State of Delivery (CISD) events across up to six user-defined timeframes simultaneously. It triggers entry signals only when all enabled timeframes align in directional bias and are confirmed by a local CISD on the chart's timeframe.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on identifying when institutional delivery shifts occur across multiple horizons to filter out noise and capture structurally significant trends.

  • Convergence Detection: The tool monitors up to six timeframes (e.g., Weekly, Daily, H4, H1, M15, M5). When all timeframes show the same directional CISD state, the chart background changes color to signal full alignment.
  • The Confirmation Gate: To avoid "recycled" signals, the system arms a pending state once alignment is achieved. It then waits for a new CISD to occur on the local chart timeframe in the direction of the alignment before firing an entry signal.
  • Entry Signals: Large green and red triangles indicate long and short entry triggers, respectively. These triggers only appear during user-defined trading sessions and days of the week.
  • Risk Management: Upon entry, the script automatically plots trade lines for the entry price, stop loss, and take profit. Users can choose to set the stop loss at the entry candle's open or the previous candle's extreme.

Details

The indicator relies on the concept of "Delivery State," which is the current directional intent of institutional participants. A CISD (Change in State of Delivery) occurs when price reclaims the open of the most recent non-inside candle of the opposite direction.

  • Bullish CISD: Occurs when price closes above the open of the last bearish candle.
  • Bearish CISD: Occurs when price closes below the open of the last bullish candle.
  • Inside Candle Exclusion: Candles that do not express new directional commitment (inside bars) are ignored to maintain the integrity of the target levels.
  • Timeframe Independence: By utilizing request.security, the script performs the same logic on higher timeframes to ensure that lower-frequency trends condition the entry probability.

FAQ

How do I interpret the MTF table?

The table in the top-right displays the current delivery state for each enabled timeframe. Green indicates a Bullish CISD state, red indicates Bearish, and gray indicates Neutral (insufficient data).

Why didn't an entry fire when the background changed color?

The system requires a "fresh" local CISD confirmation after alignment is reached. If the local timeframe was already in that state when the higher timeframes aligned, the system waits for the next structural shift to confirm the move.
