The Moving Averages + BB & R.VWAP StDev (multi-tf) tool provides a comprehensive suite of trend and volatility overlays, including multiple customizable moving averages, Bollinger Bands, and a rolling VWAP with standard deviation bands.
Usage
The script is designed to provide a versatile analysis environment by allowing users to toggle and configure several technical components independently.
Moving Averages Users can enable up to 17 different moving averages divided into two groups (0-9 and A-G). Each average can be configured with a specific length, source, and type (SMA, EMA, SMMA, WMA, VWMA, LSMA, HMA, or ALMA). The multi-timeframe functionality allows you to plot higher timeframe averages on your current chart to identify long-term support and resistance levels.
Rolling VWAP Unlike standard VWAP which resets daily, the Rolling VWAP uses a moving window (defined by the Rolling Period setting). This makes it applicable to daily, weekly, or monthly charts where traditional VWAP is unavailable. It helps in identifying the volume-weighted average price over a continuous period without "jumps" at session starts.
Standard Deviation Bands The Rolling VWAP includes up to six standard deviation bands. These bands act as dynamic volatility channels. Traders often use these to identify overextended price action or potential mean reversion points.
Bollinger Bands Integrated within the MA settings, Bollinger Bands provide a volatility envelope around a chosen moving average. These are used to gauge price relative to recent volatility, where touches of the upper or lower bands may indicate overbought or oversold conditions.

Rolling VWAP & Standard Deviation Bands
- VWAP: Toggles the visibility of the Rolling VWAP line.
- Rolling Period: Sets the lookback window for the VWAP calculation.
- St. Dev. Bands: Enables the standard deviation bands around the VWAP.
- Deviation 1-6: Sets the multiplier for each of the six standard deviation bands.
- Transparency/Step: Controls the visual density and gradient of the band fills.
Moving Averages
- Flip trend periods: Determines the sensitivity for color changes based on trend direction.
- Override timeframe: Allows all moving averages in a group to be set to a single specific timeframe simultaneously.
- MA 0-9 / A-G: Individual toggles for each moving average.
- MA Type: Selects the calculation method (SMA, EMA, SMMA, WMA, VWMA, LSMA, HMA, ALMA).
- Length: The lookback period for the specific moving average.
- Line Width/Color: Customizable visual properties for each plot.

How do I use this on a Daily chart? Enable the Rolling VWAP feature. Unlike standard VWAP, the Rolling VWAP in this script does not reset and will calculate based on the "Rolling Period" setting on any timeframe with volume data.
Can I see Weekly Moving Averages on a 1-hour chart? Yes. Use the "Override timeframe" or the individual "Timeframe" dropdown for a specific Moving Average and set it to "W" (Weekly).
