The Supply and Demand Zones with Enhanced Signals indicator provides a comprehensive trading framework by combining automated price level detection with trend-following filters and momentum oscillators. It identifies significant supply and demand zones based on recent price action to help traders visualize potential reversal points while offering dynamic entry and exit signals.

Usage

The script serves as a multi-functional tool for both trade identification and position management.

  • Supply and Demand Identification: Look for price reactions near the red (Supply) and green (Demand) horizontal lines. These zones indicate where significant selling or buying pressure has occurred historically.
  • Signal Validation: Buy signals (green triangles) appear when price crosses above the EMA while the RSI is outside of oversold territory. Conversely, sell signals (red triangles) trigger when price crosses below the EMA and the RSI is not overbought.
  • Trade Management: The indicator plots automated Take Profit and Stop Loss levels once a signal is generated.
  • Exit Strategy: The tool provides exit signals (blue and orange X shapes) based on EMA crossovers or higher timeframe RSI conditions, helping traders secure gains or minimize losses before a full trend reversal.

Details

The indicator identifies zones by looking for local maximums and minimums within a user-defined window. A "Zone Threshold" percentage is applied to ensure that only significant price touches validate these levels.

For trend analysis, a standard 21-period EMA is used. The momentum component utilizes a 14-period RSI to filter out entries that might be overextended. A unique feature of this script is the integration of a higher timeframe RSI filter for exit signals, allowing the script to detect potential reversals on a broader scale before they become apparent on the current chart timeframe.

Settings

Zone Configuration

  • Zone Window: The lookback period used to identify local price peaks and troughs for zone formation.
  • Zone Threshold (%): The percentage sensitivity required to validate a price level as a supply or demand zone.

Technical Filters

  • RSI Length: The period used for the Relative Strength Index calculation.
  • RSI Overbought/Oversold Levels: Customizable thresholds (default 80/20) for momentum filtering.
  • EMA Length: The period for the Exponential Moving Average used for trend detection and signal crossovers.
  • ATR Length: The period for Average True Range calculations.

Exit & Management

  • Higher Timeframe for Exits: Allows the user to select a different timeframe (e.g., 15-minute) to provide secondary RSI confirmation for exiting trades.
  • Take Profit / Stop Loss Percentage: Sets the distance for the automated target and protection lines based on the entry price.
