ICT Toolkit
Dec 3, 2022

The ICT Toolkit indicator is a comprehensive quality-of-life tool designed to automate the marking of essential price levels and time-based sessions used in ICT methodologies. It aims to eliminate manual chart preparation by dynamically plotting institutional reference points, killzones, and range projections.
Usage
The Usage section highlights how traders can utilize the various automated features for intraday analysis:
- Killzones: Use the London Open (02:00-05:00 EST), New York Open (08:30-11:00 EST), and London Close (10:00-11:30 EST) zones to identify high-probability windows for intraday highs or lows, especially during news events.
- Price Levels: Reference the New York Midnight and Daily Open levels to determine bias. Typically, traders look to buy below these levels on bullish days and sell above them on bearish days.
- Range Analysis: Utilize the Central Bank Dealers Range (CBDR), Flout, and Asian Range (AR) boxes. When these ranges are tight (under 40 pips), the standard deviation projections can be used to predict potential price targets or reversal zones.
- ADR & CDR: Compare the Current Daily Range (CDR) against the 5-day Average Daily Range (ADR). The CDR changes color (Green < 50%, Orange 50-100%, Red > 100%) to help determine if the daily move is exhausted or if room remains for further expansion.
Details
The script is built to function as an all-in-one dashboard for ICT traders. It calculates ranges based on user-defined inputs (Wicks vs. Bodies) and uses historical data to project standard deviations. The "True Day" delineation marks 00:00 EST, which represents the start of the algorithmic trading day. All time-based features are synchronized to New York time to ensure alignment with interbank delivery hours.
Settings
- Time Zone: Manual or automatic selection of the New York offset (GMT-5/GMT-4) for accurate session plotting.
- ADR Lookback: Sets the number of days used to calculate the average daily range.
- Range Calculation Source: Choose between "Bodies" or "Wicks" for defining the highs and lows of the CBDR, Flout, and Asian sessions.
- Box Settings (CBDR/Flout/Asia): Toggle visibility for boxes, historical data, pip counts, and standard deviation extensions.
- Levels and Lines: Customize the appearance and history of New York Midnight, Daily Open, and True Day markers.
- Stats Box: Configuration for the UI table showing ADR, CDR, and specific session ranges.
FAQ
How do I use the standard deviation projections? Projections from the CBDR or Asian Range are most effective when the initial range is narrow (typically under 40 pips). Look for convergences between these extensions and other key levels on the 5m or 15m timeframes.
Why are my session times not aligning? Ensure your TradingView chart is set to the New York exchange time or use the "Automatic" timezone toggle in the indicator settings to sync with the script’s internal logic.
