ICT NY Model
Dec 10, 2022

The ICT NY Model indicator automates the plotting of key time periods and opening price levels specifically for New York futures trading sessions based on ICT mentorship concepts. It provides a visual framework for identifying high-probability trading windows and liquidity levels within the intraday cycle.
Usage
The tool is designed for use on intraday timeframes (30 minutes and below). It highlights specific trading "Killzones" and open lines that act as institutional reference points.
- Session Backgrounds: The indicator highlights the NY morning session (08:30–09:30 and 09:30–11:30) and the afternoon session (13:30–15:00 and 15:00–16:00). The gap between 11:30 and 13:30 represents "Dead Time" or the lunch hour.
- Opening Price Lines: It automatically plots horizontal lines at critical times:
- 00:00 (Midnight Open): Known as the True Day Open.
- 08:30: NY Equities pre-market open.
- 09:30: NY Equities market open.
- London Open: Opening price of the London session.
- London High/Low: The indicator projects the high and low established during the London session forward into the NY session, marking significant liquidity pools and potential daily turning points.
Details
The script focuses on time-based institutional trading models. By identifying the opening prices at specific times, traders can determine if the current price is trading at a premium or discount relative to that specific "open." Furthermore, the session color-coding helps traders remain disciplined by only looking for setups during high-volatility windows.
Settings
- Timezone: Allows adjustment for GMT offsets to ensure session times align with New York local time (default GMT-4).
- Sessions & Colors: Customize the start/end times and background colors for the four primary NY session segments.
- Opens (Local Time): Toggle visibility for the Midnight, 08:30, 09:30, and London opening price lines.
- London H/L: Enable or disable the projection of London session extremes.
