The Table Identifies the Price Extensively Using RSI, MA, and ATR indicator provides a multi-dimensional view of price extension by consolidating volatility, momentum, and trend deviation data into a single on-screen table. It allows traders to quickly assess whether the current price is overextended relative to historical volatility and long-term averages across multiple timeframes.

Usage

The indicator is divided into two primary sections to help identify price extremes:

  • ATR Section: This section compares the current day's candle range (ATR 1) against the average candle range over user-defined short-term and long-term periods (e.g., 14 and 60 days). This helps determine if the current volatility is abnormal compared to historical norms.
  • RSI & MA Section: This part of the table displays RSI values for various timeframes alongside the percentage difference between the current price and a long-term Moving Average (MA).
  • Visual Cues: The table cells are color-coded based on RSI levels, transitioning from high (bullish/overbought) to low (bearish/oversold) colors to provide an immediate visual sense of market sentiment.

Details

The script uses request.security to fetch data from different timeframes and the Daily timeframe for ATR calculations. The "ATR Mode" allows for a unique perspective by calculating volatility either in numerical price points or as a percentage of the price, making it easier to compare volatility across different asset classes. The Moving Average deviation calculation provides the percentage distance between price and the MA, helping to spot "mean reversion" opportunities when the distance becomes historically extreme.

FAQ

How do I interpret the ATR section?

If the ATR(1) value is significantly higher than the ATR(14) or ATR(60) values, it suggests the current day's price movement is unusually volatile or extended.

What does the %Difference column represent?

It shows how far the current price is above (▲) or below (▼) the selected long-term Moving Average. A very high percentage might indicate an overextended trend.
