The ICT Kill Zones indicator highlights specific high-volatility time windows based on ICT concepts, allowing traders to identify key market turning points and session overlaps with minimal chart clutter.
Usage
The Usage section focuses on identifying critical periods throughout the trading day. Traders can use these highlighted vertical zones to look for specific price action setups during periods of institutional activity.
- London Kill Zone (03:00 - 04:00 UTC-4): Highlights the start of the London session, often characterized by the "London Open" volatility and potential stop runs.
- NY AM Session (10:00 - 11:00 UTC-4): Marks the window where the New York open settles and European markets approach their close, often resulting in significant trend continuations or reversals.
- NY PM Session (14:00 - 15:00 UTC-4): Captures the late-day trading window where daily ranges are often completed or expanded.
Details
The script is designed to provide a subtle visual representation of time-based trading concepts. It utilizes vertical lines to mark the start and end of each specific session. By default, the indicator is optimized for timeframes below 45 minutes to ensure precision in the session markings. If applied to higher timeframes, a warning will appear to suggest a lower resolution for better accuracy.
