The Forex Scalping 1min Bollinger Bands, RSI and ADX Trading System indicator is a multi-layered technical tool designed to identify mean-reversion opportunities in high-liquidity forex markets during low-volatility periods.

Usage

This system is primarily designed for lower timeframes (1-minute to 15-minute) and works best on major forex pairs. It combines momentum, trend strength, and volatility envelopes to pinpoint entry and exit zones.

Long Entry Conditions:

  • Price must be trading below the upper Bollinger Band.
  • The Relative Strength Index (RSI) must cross above the oversold threshold (default 35).
  • The Average Directional Index (ADX) must be below 32, indicating a lack of a strong trending market.

Short Entry Conditions:

  • Price must be trading above the upper Bollinger Band.
  • The RSI must cross below the overbought threshold (default 65).
  • The ADX must be below 32, confirming a non-trending environment suitable for mean reversion.

Details

The strategy is built on the principle that many forex pairs spend the majority of their time in a ranging state. By using the Bollinger Bands to define the "value" area and the RSI to find momentum shifts, the script targets quick scalps. The inclusion of the ADX is a critical filter; it prevents the system from entering "short" positions during strong uptrends or "long" positions during strong downtrends, which are the primary failure points for Bollinger Band-based strategies.

  • Over Sold: The threshold level for identifying bullish momentum shifts.
