The EMA + RSI Trade Decision Table indicator is a rule-based trading assistant designed to evaluate market conditions and determine when long or short setups are statistically favorable using a score-based framework. It helps traders focus on high-quality pullbacks by combining trend regimes, RSI behavior, and EMA filters into a single visual decision table.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on interpreting the score-based table to identify trade readiness. Users should first identify the market regime (Bull, Bear, or Neutral) displayed at the top of the table. The script then evaluates setups based on whether the price has pulled back into the EMA50 or EMA100 and if the RSI has entered a regime-specific zone.

A setup is graded with a confidence score from 0–100, categorized into grades:

  • Grade A (High Quality): Score meets or exceeds the defined high-quality threshold.
  • Grade B (Acceptable): Score meets the minimum viable threshold for a setup.
  • Grade C (Low Quality): Setup fails to meet basic consistency requirements.

Traders should look for the "EXECUTE" status, which only appears when all mandatory conditions (trend alignment, RSI zone, pullback confirmation, and risk filters) are met and the score exceeds the user-defined "Trade Decision" threshold.

Details

The script utilizes a regime-based RSI approach, recognizing that "overbought" and "oversold" levels vary depending on the trend. In a Bull regime, the RSI zones are shifted higher to capture trend-continuation pullbacks, while in a Bear regime, they are shifted lower.

The "Decision Gate" incorporates several sophisticated filters:

  • Entry Distance: Blocks entries if the price is too far from the EMA50 to prevent chasing moves.
  • EMA Distance Blocker: Identifies choppy or sideways markets by checking the distance between the EMA50 and EMA100.
  • Regime Detection: Uses the relationship between EMA50, EMA100, and optionally EMA200 to establish the trading bias.

Settings

  • RSI/EMA Lengths: Configures the periods for the RSI and the three Exponential Moving Averages (50, 100, 200).
  • Entry Distance Max Pct: Sets the maximum allowable percentage distance between the price and EMA50 for an entry to be valid.
  • EMA Distance Blocker: Defines the minimum percentage spread between EMA50 and EMA100 required to avoid "choppy" market signals.
  • RSI Zones (Regime-based): Allows custom RSI high/low boundaries for Bull, Bear, and Neutral market regimes.
  • Grade (A/B): Thresholds for assigning A or B grades based on the calculated confidence score.
  • Min Score for Trade Decision: The minimum score (0-100) required for the indicator to display an "EXECUTE" signal.
  • Table Layout: Options to change the table position, text size, and detail level (Compact, Compact+Checks, or Full).

FAQ

How do I interpret the "To Go" values in the table?

The "To Go" column indicates the remaining distance or value change required for a specific condition (like RSI level or EMA pullback) to be met.

Can I use this for automated trading?

While the script provides clear "EXECUTE" signals and alerts, it is designed as a trade decision assistant. Users should manually verify market structure and support/resistance before entering trades.
