Liquidity Sweeps and Raids
Jun 28, 2023

The Liquidity Sweeps and Raids indicator identifies and visualizes key liquidity runs based on structural price violations. By automating the detection of fractal-based raids and sweeps, it helps traders understand liquidity zones and potential points of interest for trend reversals or continuations.
Usage
The script is designed to automate the markup of liquidity levels, which are often targets for institutional price movement.
- Sweeps/Raids: A sweep occurs when price violates a 3-bar fractal level and then quickly reverts. These are plotted as horizontal lines on the chart.
- Type Selection: Users can choose between "Regular" sweeps (any violation) or "Wick Only" (where the body of the candle must close back within the level).
- Multi-Timeframe Analysis: The tool can detect liquidity levels from various timeframes (1m up to Weekly) and project them onto the current chart, allowing for hierarchical liquidity analysis.
- Automatic Cleanup: When "Delete broken" is enabled, the script removes levels that have been decisively invalidated by price, keeping the chart clean.
Details
Liquidity sweeps are a core concept in price action trading, representing areas where stop orders are triggered before a reversal. This indicator calculates these levels by scanning historical bars for swing points (fractals) and tracking if the current price action has interacted with them. It specifically looks for instances where price breaches a prior swing high or low but fails to sustain momentum, suggesting a "liquidity grab" has occurred.
Settings

- Timeframe Selection: A series of checkboxes (Chart, 1, 3, 5, 15, 30, 45, 1h, 2h, 3h, 4h, D, W) allowing users to specify which timeframes the script should monitor for liquidity levels.
FAQ
How do I access Liquidity Sweeps and Raids?
You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
What is the difference between a Regular and Wick Only sweep?
