SuperTrend Take-Profit Dimensions
Apr 16, 2026

The SuperTrend Take-Profit Dimensions tool is a multi-dimensional take-profit aid that scores current market conditions against historical pivot points to identify favorable trend exit zones. By analyzing volume, time, and price position, it provides a data-backed favorability score to help traders transition from guesswork to objective trend management.
Usage
The indicator functions by running a standard SuperTrend and recording confirmed zigzag pivots into bullish and bearish pools. Each bar is scored from 0 to 100 based on how closely it resembles these past clusters. A score of 100 indicates that the current context sits in the densest part of historical pivots for that direction.
Key usage features include:
- Favourability Gauge: A vertical gradient table showing the blended score. High readings in the "Good" zone (top of the gauge) suggest the trend has reached a context where reversals or pullbacks have historically occurred.
- Context Profiles: Mini histograms rendered to the right of price charts. These show the distribution of historical pivots across different axes, with a dashed line marking the current bar's position.
- Bar Coloring: The chart bars fade from neutral grey toward the opposing trend color as the score rises, providing a visual signal that the trend is becoming "stretched."
- Take-Profit Markers: Orange markers appear above or below bars when the blended score reaches maximum favorability.
Details
The script utilizes three built-in, uncorrelated axes to ensure the final score isn't distorted by overlapping data:
- Relative Volume Percentile: Measures volume intensity relative to recent history.
- Time of Day: Analyzes session-based cycles (automatically disabled on daily timeframes and higher).
- Position in Recent Range: Evaluates price location within the recent high-low window.
The indicator also supports a custom fourth axis, allowing users to plug in any external 0–100 oscillator (like RSI) to further condition the data. The scoring engine uses "density-match" logic; it does not predict future price action but identifies when current conditions match historical "profit-taking" environments.

FAQ
How do I interpret a score of 100? A score of 100 means the current market context (volume, time, and price) matches the exact cluster where historical pivots have most frequently occurred. It is a signal to tighten stops or take profit, not a guaranteed reversal signal.
Why is the time-of-day axis not showing? The time-of-day axis is automatically disabled on daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes because intraday session cycles do not apply to these resolutions.
