The Strat Dashboard indicator provides a comprehensive multi-symbol monitoring tool that tracks up to 10 assets simultaneously using "The Strat" methodology. It simplifies price action into actionable signals by highlighting candle types, reversal patterns, timeframe continuity, and the SSS 50% rule, integrated with VWAP and moving averages for trend confirmation.

Usage

The Usage section focuses on how to interpret the dashboard's columns and how settings influence the visual output:

  • Candle Notation: All candles are categorized as 1 (Inside Bar), 2 (Trending Bar: 2U for up, 2D for down), or 3 (Outside Bar). The "Last X Candles" column displays these sequences (e.g., 1 - 2D - 2U).
  • Color Logic: Colors in the sequence column trigger when the current close exceeds the previous bar's high (Green) or low (Red).
  • SSS 50% Rule: This column identifies potential "2-1-2" or "2-2" reversals where a bar has taken a previous high/low but reversed to at least the midway point of the preceding candle.
  • Timeframe Continuity (TFC): Shows alignment across up to three user-defined timeframes. "YES" appears only when all selected timeframes share the same direction (e.g., all green).
  • Reversal Patterns: Tracks specific Strat patterns like 2-2, 1-2-2, 2-1-2, 3-1-2, and 3-2-2. Users can toggle which specific patterns should be monitored and alerted.

Details

The script utilizes request.security to fetch data for multiple symbols and timeframes. It simplifies complex price action by mapping OHLC data to Strat numerical values. The dashboard calculates the SSS 50% rule by finding the math.avg of the previous bar's high and low, then checking if the current price has breached that level after taking an extreme. TFC logic ensures that price is consistently above or below the open of the selected higher timeframes (e.g., Daily, Hourly, 15m) before signaling continuity.

Settings

Symbols

  • Show Last X Candles: Determines how many previous candles are displayed in the sequence column.
  • Table Position: Adjusts where the dashboard is anchored on the chart.
  • Symbol 1-10: Select the specific tickers you wish to monitor.

Table & Logic

  • SSS 50% Rule: Toggles visibility of the 50% reversal rule column.
  • Timeframe Continuity: Enables/disables the TFC check based on the selected sub-timeframes.
  • Moving Average/VWAP: Toggles columns showing if price is above or below the specified EMA or VWAP levels.
  • Strat Reversals: A list of checkboxes to select which specific patterns the dashboard should detect.

Additional Information

  • Fast/Slow EMA Length: Sets the period for the EMA trend indicators used in the dashboard.
  • Alert Confirmation: If enabled, alerts will only fire after a candle closes to prevent repainting signals.

FAQ

How do I interpret a "2U" in the dashboard? A "2U" indicates a "2 Up" bar, meaning the current candle's high has exceeded the previous candle's high, but its low has not broken the previous candle's low.

Can I use this for intraday trading? Yes, you can configure the Timeframe Continuity (TFC) settings to track intraday timeframes like the 5m, 15m, and 1h to align with your trading strategy.

How do I get access to the Strat Dashboard? You can get access on the LuxAlgo Library for charting platforms like TradingView, MetaTrader (MT4/MT5), and NinjaTrader for free.
