The SuperTrend Confluence Signals tool integrates volume dynamics, retracement detection, and a multi-asset trend matrix to provide a comprehensive view of market trends and liquidity.

Usage

The SuperTrend Confluence Signals indicator provides several visual cues to help traders identify trend strength and potential entry points.

  • Trend Identification: The core SuperTrend line changes color based on the directional bias determined by the ATR and Multiplier settings.
  • Volume Histogram: Gradient-filled candles appear anchored to the SuperTrend bands. Their height and transparency scale relative to recent volume standard deviation, highlighting periods of high activity during a trend.
  • Retracement Arrows: Small triangles appear when price pulls back toward the SuperTrend level without breaking it. These act as potential trend continuation signals.
  • Volume TP Markers: Orange diamond markers flag extreme volume events, identifying potential liquidity bursts or exhaustion points.
  • Automatic Levels: The script plots horizontal support and resistance zones at key trend shifts. These levels remain on the chart until they are "mitigated" by price action (wick or body crossing) or reach a maximum age.
  • Trend Table: A dashboard in the corner of the chart displays the trend status (▲ for bullish, ▼ for bearish) across five user-defined symbols and timeframes, allowing for macro-to-micro confluence.

Details

This script utilizes the classic SuperTrend calculation, which uses the Average True Range (ATR) to create a volatility-adjusted band. The innovation lies in the confluence of secondary filters:

  • Distance Sensitivity: Retracement signals are calculated using normalized distance sensitivity, ensuring signals only fire when price is within a specific proximity to the band.
  • Mitigation Logic: The support and resistance levels feature sophisticated clearing rules. Users can choose whether a level is invalidated by a simple wick touch or requires a full candle close (body) beyond the line.
  • Volume Scaling: For assets without volume data, the script automatically falls back to price-range volatility to scale the volumetric histogram.

Settings

Supertrend

  • ATR Length: The lookback period for the Average True Range calculation. Lower values create more sensitive signals.
  • Multiplier: The factor by which the ATR is multiplied to set the distance of the bands from price.

Volume

  • Volume Scale: Adjusts the visual height of the volumetric histogram bars.
  • Volume TP: The threshold for the diamond markers. Lower values produce more markers, while higher values only highlight extreme spikes.

Signals

  • Retracement Sensitivity: Determines how close price must get to the SuperTrend band to trigger an arrow.

Level Management

  • Max Level Age: The maximum number of bars a horizontal level will remain on the chart.
  • Sweep Type: Choose between "wick" or "body" to determine how price interaction invalidates a level.
  • Allow Rejection: Requires two consecutive closes beyond a level to remove it when the sweep type is set to "body".
  • Enable Zigzag: Toggles the display of the zigzag structural levels.

Multi-Asset Table

  • Assets (1-5): Input symbols for the dashboard (e.g., AAPL, BTCUSD).
  • Timeframes (1-5): Set the timeframes to be tracked in the matrix.
  • Table Size/Position: Visual customization for the dashboard UI.

FAQ

How do I use the Retracement Arrows?

Retracement arrows are intended to signal high-probability continuation zones. When price pulls back to the SuperTrend line but stays within the "Retracement Sensitivity" threshold without crossing over, it suggests the trend is still intact and may resume.

What is the difference between Wick and Body Sweep?

A Wick Sweep invalidates a level as soon as price touches it. A Body Sweep requires the candle to close across the level, which can filter out "fakeouts" or temporary spikes.
