Best Ichimoku Screener
Feb 7, 2020

The Best Ichimoku Screener tool monitors multiple assets simultaneously to identify whether their price action is positioned above, below, or within the Ichimoku Cloud.
Usage
The tool is designed for traders who need a high-level overview of trend sentiment across various symbols without switching charts. It displays the status of five user-defined symbols in a dedicated indicator pane.
- Green Square: Indicates the price is currently above the Ichimoku Cloud (Lead Line 1 and Lead Line 2), suggesting a bullish trend.
- Red Square: Indicates the price is currently below the Ichimoku Cloud, suggesting a bearish trend.
- Blue/Neutral Dash: Indicates the price is currently inside the Kumo (Cloud), suggesting a period of consolidation or lack of a clear trend.
By looking at the screener, you can quickly identify which symbols are trending and which are range-bound according to standard Ichimoku parameters.
Details
The script implements a standard Ichimoku Kinko Hyo calculation using the following logic:
- Tenkan-Sen (Conversion Line): 9-period average of highest high and lowest low.
- Kijun-Sen (Base Line): 26-period average of highest high and lowest low.
- Senkou Span B (Lead Line 2): 52-period average of highest high and lowest low, plotted with a 26-period displacement.
- Senkou Span A (Lead Line 1): Average of the Conversion and Base lines, also plotted with a 26-period displacement.
The screener evaluates the current price relative to the "displaced" Senkou Span lines (the actual cloud visible at the current time) to determine the sentiment for each selected ticker.
Settings
- Symbol Inputs (sec00 - sec04): Allows users to input up to five different ticker symbols to monitor.
- Indicator Precision: Sets the decimal precision for the script's internal calculations.
