Supply and Demand Zone Confirmation
Jan 12, 2023

The Supply and Demand Zone Confirmation indicator aims to identify high-probability reversal points by multi-timeframe analysis of the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) and Relative Strength Index (RSI). By aggregating momentum data across different time horizons, the tool filters out market noise and highlights potential Point of Reverse (PRZ) zones where supply or demand is likely to shift.
Usage
The tool is best utilized alongside price action analysis to confirm entries at established support or resistance levels. It generates "Buy Zone" and "Sell Zone" signals when specific momentum conditions align across three distinct timeframes.
- Long Signals: Occur when the CCI on two higher timeframes is oversold and the RSI (with its moving average) is below the lower threshold.
- Short Signals: Occur when the CCI on two higher timeframes is overbought and the RSI is above the upper threshold.
Users are encouraged to adjust the timeframe settings based on their base chart. For example, if trading on a 5-minute chart, setting the first CCI to 15 minutes and the second to 1 hour provides a broader perspective on trend exhaustion.
Details
The script utilizes a multi-timeframe (MTF) approach to reduce the "headaches" of standard overbought/oversold oscillators. By requiring two separate CCI periods to reach extreme levels simultaneously with an RSI filter, it ensures that a reversal signal is backed by momentum shifts on both medium and long-term horizons. The inclusion of an RSI-based Moving Average further smooths the data, ensuring signals are not triggered by minor price fluctuations.
Settings

- Lower Low/Upper Up Bands: Extended thresholds used for the secondary (higher timeframe) CCI filter.
CCI Timeframe Settings
- First CCI timeframe: The higher timeframe for the first momentum check.
- Second CCI timeframe: A second, typically even higher, timeframe for deeper confirmation.
RSI Settings
- RSI Length: The lookback period for the RSI.
- Source: The price source for RSI calculation.
- RSI timeframe: The timeframe on which the RSI logic is calculated.
RSI MA Settings
- MA Type: Select between SMA, EMA, Bollinger Bands, and others to smooth the RSI output.
- MA Length: The lookback period for the RSI smoothing average.

FAQ
How do I interpret the Buy and Sell Zone signals? Signals appear when momentum indicators across multiple timeframes reach extreme levels. A "Buy Zone" suggests demand is overwhelming supply, while a "Sell Zone" suggests supply is overwhelming demand.
What timeframes work best for this indicator? The indicator is flexible. For 30-minute charts, use the default settings. For 15-minute charts, it is recommended to lower the CCI and RSI timeframe inputs accordingly to maintain sensitivity.
