Trend and RSI Bias Fusion
Aug 28, 2024

The Trend and RSI Bias Fusion indicator integrates trend analysis, momentum tracking, and RSI-based bias into a singular visual tool designed to identify market direction and potential reversals across multiple timeframes. By combining multi-timeframe Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) with Relative Strength Index (RSI) conditions, it provides a comprehensive view of market sentiment and strength.
Usage
The tool is designed to align higher-timeframe trends with lower-timeframe momentum for precise entry and exit timing.
- Trend Identification: The chart background is colored to represent the current EMA trend. A green background suggests a bullish trend, while a red background indicates a bearish trend.
- Momentum Analysis: A central histogram tracks momentum (RSI - 50). Values above zero signify positive momentum, while values below zero signify negative momentum.
- RSI Bias: The indicator tracks RSI levels on a secondary timeframe. RSI values crossing above 60 suggest a potential bearish bias (overbought), while values below 40 suggest a bullish bias (oversold).
- Visual Cues: Reversal markers (circles) appear when the short-term EMA crosses the long-term EMA. Users can also enable bar coloring based on either the Trend or the RSI bias to simplify visual interpretation.
Details
The script utilizes dual-timeframe analysis to filter noise. It calculates a short-term EMA (default 14) and a long-term EMA (default 50) on a specified "Trend Timeframe." Simultaneously, it calculates the RSI on an "RSI Timeframe." This allows traders to, for example, view Daily trends while monitoring 4-hour RSI pullbacks. The momentum histogram is centered around zero to clearly distinguish between bullish and bearish strength within the larger trend.
