Premium/Discount Zones with Confirmation Signals
Nov 1, 2025

The Premium/Discount Zones with Confirmation Signals indicator identifies dynamic value areas based on recent market structure to help traders visualize overbought, oversold, and equilibrium price levels. By analyzing swing highs and lows, the tool provides a framework for identifying high-probability entry zones aligned with Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and price action strategies.
Usage
The tool divides the recent price range into three distinct areas: the Premium zone (expensive), the Discount zone (cheap), and the Equilibrium band (fair value). Traders can use these zones to determine the context of current price action and look for specific trade setups.
The indicator supports two primary signal modes that can be toggled via the settings:
- Bounce: Generates reversal signals when the price reacts to a zone boundary and confirms a move back toward the range center. This is ideal for mean-reversion or range-bound trading.
- Breakout: Generates continuation signals when the price breaks through a zone with momentum. This is used for trend-following or volatility expansion setups.
Signals include a 3-bar confirmation logic to filter out minor market noise and ensure the move has sufficient technical backing before appearing on the chart.
Details
The script operates by tracking the highest high and lowest low over a user-defined lookback period. The Premium and Discount levels are calculated as a percentage offset from these extremes.
- Premium Level: Calculated as
Swing High - (Price Range * Premium %). - Discount Level: Calculated as
Swing Low + (Price Range * Discount %). - Equilibrium Band: Centers around the 50% retracement level of the range, with a customizable width to define the "no-trade" or fair value area.
